Fashion collector Annah Bach speaks about her most treasured pieces, jewelry, and style

"My collection reflects myself. Fashion allows me to be honest, the purest form of myself - I can express who I am at that moment, every day, through the pieces in my collection," says Bach. As a young girl, she always looked forward to fashion weeks, which is how her passion first began. Annah Bach's fashion closet boasts over 200 pairs of boots, including thigh-high Dolce & Gabbana boots with a logo-plate garter belt. "Boots make me feel invincible, sexy, and strong."

The first item in her collection is a white lambskin Chanel 2.55, which she purchased in 2006. Some of the most recent additions are from the 2023 collections by Anthony Vaccarello for Yves Saint Laurent. "They embody confidence and elegance," says Bach, who now owns a few leather trench coats with a signature exaggerated shoulder silhouette and a crystal-studded Yves Saint Laurent dress, one of only five pieces ever made.

"I wear my collection to express myself. My life has been influenced by living in many places and I find it freeing to communicate my environment through the lens of fashion. As my collection is eclectic and rich, it allows me to create my work in the form of fashion editorials and films. I'm grateful to have my own showroom," she says. Her passion also extends to collecting unique pieces by talented emerging designers.

Not long ago, Bach found herself exploring other spheres of the art and fashion scene and decided to launch a jewelry line. "I felt drawn to explore femininity and beauty through rare fancy-colored diamonds and gemstones," she says about her new collection inspired by the story of the Garden of Eden and thus called "Forbidden Fruit." Annah Bach's luxury hand-crafted pieces are made with green, blue, yellow, and rare pink diamonds, as well as other gemstones such as rubies and emeralds.

When it comes to style, she loves combining masculine and feminine codes and infuses her looks with a fierce sensibility. "I find endless inspiration in the eclectic world of fashion. That's why I enjoy collecting season after season," says Bach, who is already searching for the next piece to inspire her and add to her collection.
